Traditionally, smoked fish is cut into bite size pieces and served with crusty bread or crackers with a creamy dill dressing. When serving as an appetizer allow smoked fish to reach room temperature, this will enhance its flavor. For each serving of smoked fish allow approximately 1/4 pound.
Another easy, delicious, and healthy way to enjoy smoked fish is crumbled over any salad.
Below are some other ways to enjoy smoked fish!
Smoked Bluefish Salad
(Substitute with Salmon, Mackerel, Tuna or Trout)

Ingredients
- 1lb Smoked Bluefish
- 1 cup Celery chopped
- 2 tbsp Red Onion minced
- 2 tbsp Capers rinsed & chopped
- 2 tbsp Italian Flat Parsley chopped
- 2 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
- Juice of ½ Lemon
- Mayonnaise to your liking

Procedure
- De-bone and flake Smoked Bluefish
- Fold in remaining ingredients, mix well, chill

Smoked Scallops Alfredo with Angel Hair Pasta |

Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp Butter
- 1 clove of Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
- ¾ lb Smoked Scallops
- 1 lb Angel Hair Pasta

Procedure
- In a medium saucepan melt butter and sauté garlic until softened
- Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, Cook over medium low heat until smooth and thickened
- Add Smoked Scallops stir, cover, and remove from heat
- Boil and drain pasta
- Combine sauce with pasta, toss
- Divide among heated bowls, serve and enjoy

Smoked Bluefish Pate |

Ingredients
- 1 lb Smoked Bluefish Fillet
- 1 lb Cream Cheese ( allow to soften )
this will make it easier to mix
- 2 Tbls. Lemon Juice
- 2 Tbls. Chives (chopped)
- 1 Tbls Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tsp. Fresh Ground Pepper

Procedure
- Peel bluefish from the skin and crumble.

Discard skin. Mix all ingedients together in Food Processor.
( Do not over process. Texture should be smooth )
- Bluefish should not be completely dissolved.
- Boil and drain pasta
- Serve with crusty bread or crackers.
- Diced tomatoes and olive oil compliment this spread quite nicely!
Hint
Substitute Bluefish for Salmon, Trout, Tuna or even Mackerel to make another delicous spread.
